PSA, lifting the level of Australian Laser sailing Performance Sailcraft (PSA), the builder of the world’s most popular class, ran a Win a Laser competition late last year which received thousands of entries with the vast majority of entrants expressing interest in gaining coaching to improve their skills. This was followed up with a coaching specific survey with the results showing large demand within all fleets and in all states. Signing up the world’s best Laser sailors to share their skills has proved a popular choice with three out of four of the first series of clinics being fully booked within a day of offering. The first clinic will be hosted at Dobroyd Aquatic Centre on Sunday 7 March with 12 sailors have signed up for a full day of coaching from former Olympian and current Australian Women’s Laser Radial Champion, Laura Baldwin and former Australian and Asia Pacific Laser Champion, Ash Brunning. Other clinics will be held at Middle Harbour, Lane Cove, Belmont and Sorrento during March and April. Only Belmont has places available on 20 and 21 March, if you would like to attend, register now by clicking this link; Book at Belmont The clinic at Sorrento Sailing Club is slightly different in that it is being run alongside an Easter regatta with training in the morning and racing in the afternoons. The Victorian Laser Association and Sorrento Sailing Club are offering participation to their top junior and youth sailors in the Laser 4.7 and Radial. The regatta / clinic runs over Easter from 3-5 April.
