Optiparts added to NB Sailsports range

NB Sailsports formerly NB Laser has recently started entering the optimist market. We are now, the Australian dealer for Shanghai Far East boats.

Far East Boats was founded in 2002, it has now become one of the biggest Optimist builders in the world with a yearly capacity of around 2000 hulls. Far East optimists placed in six of the top ten positions at last year’s worlds.

To improve our service to optimist sailors we are pleased to announce that we are now supplying a full range of Optiparts to accompany our Far East range. Optiparts have been operating for over 20 years; they are the leading supplier of Optimist spars, fittings and accessories used in over 80 countries.

NB Sailsports will be attending a number of events over the summer including the Queensland Youth States, NSW Youth States, Sail Sydney and Sail Melbourne. We will also have a shop on site at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron for the upcoming Optimist Nationals. We also offer trade-ins of used optimists for new or used lasers or new optimists.

NB Sailsports also carries a full range of Zhik and Sea clothing as well as Liros and Maffioli Ropes and Harken amongst others allowing us to service all the needs of the Optimist Sailors.

RS Aero USA Atlantic Coast Championship at the Newport Regatta
The inaugural championship at the Newport Regatta, Rhode Island was a successful event with 17 RS Aeros in total! 2016 Lightning Atlantic Coast Championship at Carolina Yacht Club
This weekend the International Lightning Class held their Atlantic Coast Championship on waters off Wrightsville Beach. The event began with Greg Fisher (College of Charleston, Director of Sailing) and Brian Hayes (North Sails One Design) leading a clinic for the early arriving teams. These clinics, know to the class as Lightning Labs, are very intuitive seminars directed at performance in the Lightning.
