The A Class Nationals have concluded with Blair Tuke from Kerikeri taking the title in commanding fashion.
The Olympic Silver Medallist and A Class Junior World Champion showed his class and would be both pleased to have this on his CV and as a good platform for the A Class Worlds being held at Takapuna Auckland in February 2014.
Multiple times National Champion Murray Philpott from Christchurch was second and PT International Champion Dave Shaw from Nelson was third.
The fleet was a good representation from both North and South Islands which provided a truly National contest.
Lyttelton Harbour turned on a variety of conditions but with plenty of wind allowed all 12 races to be concluded as scheduled and competitors agreed that it was a well run and enjoyable contest.
Winner of the Veterans Trophy was Ken Urquhart of Wanaka and Most Improved Trophy was John Kennett of Christchurch.
Top 10 Points: Blair Tuke 11, Murray Philpott 20, Dave Shaw 31, John Kennett 39, Daniel Philpott 42, Bruce Carson 48, Mike Drummond 58, Ken Urquhart 68, Daniel Folter 87, Harry de Jong 88
