OAMPS Australian Youth Championship - Notice of Race released

OAMPS Insurance Brokers Australian Youth Championship 2013, to be held in Tasmania in January, Notice of Race has been released by Yachting Australia.

The Australian Youth Championship will be held at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania between 6th and 10th January 2013.

The event is open to competitors who will be under 19 years of age as of December 31 2013, and all competitors are required to be members of Yachting Australia or another National Authority.

Racing will take place in 13 events using six types of boat; boys and girls windsurfers using the Techno 293, Laser 4.7 for boys and girls, Laser Radial for boys and girls, 420 for boys, girls and as an open event, 29er for boys, girls and open and an open Hobie 16 event.

The Notice of Race can be found here with competitors able to enter online through the same website.

Entries close on Friday December 14, 2012, with late entries with an additional fee accepted until Sunday January 6, 2013.

The results of the Australian Youth Championship will be used by Yachting Australia towards the selection of crews to represent Australia at the 2013 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship.
