Vendee Globe - Les heures que je vis actuellement sont particulièrement difficiles, mais je tenais à vous dire à quel point vos messages me touchent. Depuis la terre, ils me parviennent et me vont droit au coeur. Recevoir tout le soutien du monde de la course au sens large m'est aujourd'hui très précieux.

A vous tous, concurrents encore en mer ou privés trop tôt de cette magnifique course qu'est le Vendée Globe, je veux dire ma grande fierté de faire partie de votre flotte.

A ceux qui ont demandé ma réintégration aux organisateurs, merci d'apporter une fois encore la preuve que la solidarité et l'esprit sportif existent entre nous tous. Je veux également saluer le rôle de l'Imoca et tout particulièrement celui de son président Luc Talbourdet. Notre classe est belle et vous lui donnez le bon cap.

J'ignore quelle réponse sera apportée à ma demande de réouverture, mais quelle qu'elle soit, je continuerai à me battre de toutes mes forces pour ces valeurs qui sont les miennes. Je vous souhaite à tous de poursuivre cette belle bagarre que nous livrons depuis le départ des Sables d'Olonne.

Ce Vendée Globe fait partie de ma vie depuis près de 15 ans. Jamais encore je n'ai eu le privilège de le terminer. Ce ne sera peut-être pas pour cette fois, mais je ferai tout pour ramener mon bateau à bon port, touché mais fier d'être allé au bout de mon aventure. Personne ne me l'enlèvera.
