North Sails Australia. Over the past 12 months, a different North Sails Etchells customer, using the same latest standard sail designs and detailed tuning guide that Tom King used to win the Sydney Worlds, has won almost every major event around the country. Ken Read (52) has been commanding sailing headlines for the past thirty-plus years, starting with his collegiate days at Boston University where he was a three-time Collegiate All American and the Intercollegiate Sailing Association’s College Sailor of the Year (1982), through his time as a J/24 and Etchells champion and a respected sailmaker in his hometown of Newport, Rhode Island.
