'Westpac Rescue Helicopter is a fantastic service for the Hunter providing emergency medical transport and search and rescue capabilities to the community. NCYC is proud of its on-going relationship with Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and the peace of mind that the service provides to NCYC members knowing they can be reached pretty quickly along the Hunter’s coast should an emergency unfold' commented NCYC Director and Club Captain Ernie Thirkell.
Following some photos the two Richard’s wandered around the base checking out the aircraft, hanger facilities and training equipment used by the organisation while also chatting to the technicians that keep the big red and yellow ‘birds’ in the sky above Newcastle.
