Tristan Ornsby and crew sailing Visions have won the 2013 Noelex 25 National Championships at Evans Bay in Wellington on a count back from Nick Coultas and crew sailing Outnumbered.
Both boats sail out of Naval Point in Lyttelton. Light to moderate winds on Day 1 and 2 of the regatta saw five different winners in the first five races. Due to high winds, Day 3 of the regatta was unable to be sailed but the six races allowed a series result with one drop.
Tim Hawley sailing Fidelio from host club Evans Bay won the handicap trophy, with Bob Jollands sailing Sweet Magic (Taupo) in second and Derek Dumbar sailing Que Sera Sera (Bay of Plenty) in third.
Fifteen boats representing 10 yacht club contested the championship.
