New Hanse models at Sydney Boat Show

by Media Services on 2 Aug 2006
Hanse 540 Hanse Yachts . http://www.windcraft.com.au
HanseYachts have redefined the higher end of their yacht range and is again setting new standards. The production process was developed in a cooperation of SP Systems and HanseYachts.

Using their prepreg machine Hanse were able to optimise the use of fibre-epoxy compound! Computer-controlled temperature allows for maximum mechanical characteristics of the epoxy. Only materials of the highest quality are being used, e.g. CoreCell¢â SAN foam.

Following the successful models Hanse 531 and Hanse 461 the globally operating yard now launches the Hanse 470e and Hanse 540e.

The top model of this elite class is the new Hanse 630e, the first epoxy-built yacht of its size to be serially produced in Germany!

The new Hanse 470e and 540e have been adapted to match the new design philosophy of the Hanse 630e. Hanse will continue to offer as much space as possible while guaranteeing the highest degree of performance.

An optimised sense of living is reached through a new layout of the saloon area. The galley has been set up on the starboard side and a comfortable seating area on the port side. The navigation table of both yachts can also be found on the port side. A prime feature of the interior design is the flexible seating units with integrated storage space and adjustable foot and back rests. Part of the ¡¯HanseYachts Individual Cabin Concept¡¯ is a free choice of wood types as well as a choice of layout designs. One new interior option is the island double berth in the owner¡¯s forward cabin.

The extended cockpit without bridge deck offers space for a wider protected companion way.

The halyard winch system has been integrated in the overall layout and has been taken backwards in order to offer optimum handling without leaving the cockpit.

Exceptional and brand-new for serial production yachts is the exclusively designed deck layout:

- All hatches are installed flush to the deck and with the 470e they extend to the mast and let in plenty of daylight.

- Thanks to the new genoa furling system that is integrated into the pulpit area a tidy foredeck has been created. This design principle can be seen in various parts from the deck setup to the cockpit as HanseYachts has tried to conceal the majority of winches, halyards, jammers and blocks in their flush-decks.
