New 2000 website launched and boats soon to follow
by LDC Sailing on 24 Apr 2013
LDC Sailing, the new builder and distributor of the popular 2000 Class, has launched a dedicated website.
The site contains information about the specification and features of the new 2000s, which will be in production very shortly. New moulds are nearing completion on the Isle of Wight with the first boats due to be completed within a few weeks.
LDC Sailing have taken the opportunity to review all aspects of the 2000 with the Class Association committee, key racing sailors and representatives of some of the major sailing institutions that sail 2000s, such as the British Navy and Army. This review has lead to a number of minor improvements including fit-out details, inner side seat shape and sail cloth choice for the spinnaker and jib. These updates will not alter the performance or one-design ethos, but they will improve ease of handling, hiking comfort and sail life. The 2000 logo has also been refreshed alongside the manufacturer change and the new design can be seen on the new website and will soon appear on the water as boats are delivered and new sails purchased.
LDC Sailing now has most 2000 parts available from stock, ready for immediate despatch. They can be ordered via
LDC Sailing by email to spares@ldcsailing.com or by calling 01794 526760.
The 2000 Class Association has also updated its web address to www.2000class.org with a fantastic range of information about the comprehensive range of Class racing and training activities, hints and tips, key people contacts, a forum and much more.
