Never been a better time to buy a boat!

Beneteau Sports Cruiser Creating Demand
With boat show season upon us and plenty of activity in the market, there has never been a better time to invest in a boating lifestyle.

There is plenty in the media promoting the major boat shows and all that the boat dealers have to offer, but there are so many more reasons as to why buying a boat now makes sense.

Like real estate, anyone looking to sell an asset right now needs to consider that what they thought their house, boat or unit was worth, may now not achieve what they thought. For boat buyers this presents a number of great value buying opportunities in the brokerage and second hand boat market.

Marine Brokers Association members are the leaders in offering an extensive range of quality brokerage vessels, with many offering a buyers advisory service to ensure that buyers and vendors alike, achieve their desired outcomes.

New boat buyers are probably in a better position now more than ever before and particularly those looking to invest in a leading European brand.

Adam Waters from leading Sydney boat sales organization JW Marine says 'All manufacturers understand the need to provide added value to attract buyers, and our brands like Beneteau are offering great incentives for potential purchasers.'

European boats have long been known for world class finishing and performance, and with the buoyant Australian dollar they now also offer exceptional value for money.

The Australian manufacturers have also been busy with the release of a number of new models, but probably the biggest news in the market is the purchase of iconic manufacturer Riviera. Arguably the best known luxury boating brand, the recent purchase of Riviera out of administration represents a very positive step forward for the Australian boating market.

Bruce Mitchell from R Marine Pittwater says that 'Our passionate Riviera owners are overjoyed that their beloved brand is back. With Wes Moxey back in charge, and a sense of stability around the brand, the golden days of Riviera ownership are destined to return.'

Regardless of real estate markets, share market performance or business success, we can never lose sight of the lifestyle benefits that boating provides. There is no greater lifestyle or family experience, and there has never been a better time to take advantage of these great boat buying conditions.
