The New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup presented by Rolex took place in September and is now set to debut on ESPN Classic on Friday, November 4, at 8pm Eastern Time. It will be re-aired on Sunday November 6 at 2:30pm Eastern Time on ESPN2. Check local listings for the appropriate channels.

The NYYC Invitational Cup saw twenty-two ten-person teams from sixteen countries from six continents in the second running of this competition. All competitors are amateur sailors and members of their respective yacht clubs. Also, attending were family members, friends of the competitors and flag officers of a number of competing yacht clubs. The racing takes place in identically matched Swan 42s. Eleven highly contested races were sailed over a five-day period off Newport, Rhode Island.

This program was shot in Hi Def aboard the race boats, from helicopters above the racecourse and on the water. Jobson is an Emmy-award winning film-maker.
