NB Sailsports to host Laser Speed Camps

NB Sailsports will be hosting four Laser Speed Camps run by NB sponsored sailor, current Laser National Champion and new AST member, Tom Burton and supported by other members of the NB team. This includes former Australian Laser Radial Nationals runner up Aaron Gregory, former GBR Finn Sailors Henry Bagnall and 'Big Mac' Rob McMillan.

The camps will be held at four New South Wales clubs throughout March.

Double Bay Sailing Club – Wednesday 16th March:
Be rigged and ready at 6pm for briefing
Open to sailors form Double Bay Sailing Club, Woollahra Sailing Club and Vaucluse

Gosford Sailing Club – Saturday 19th March:
10am Start
Open to all Central Coast, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle area Laser sailors

Middle Harbour Amateur Sailing Club – Saturday 26th March:
11am Start
Open to all Middle Harbour Amateur Sailing Club sailors

Dobroyd Aquatic Club – Sunday 27th March:
11am start
Open to sailors from Dobroyd Aquatic Club and sailors from Hunters Hill and Abbortsford clubs.


The idea of these days is to give some top tips to the regular club sailor.

OK Dinghy World Ranking List – No change at top
European Champion, Bo Petersen (DEN) continues to lead from Thomas Hansson-Mild (SWE) and Greg Wilcox (NZL). For the first time in the history of the OK Dinghy World Ranking List, not only are the top three three unchanged, but the entire top 20 of the March 2017 release are unchanged from the previous release.

Finn Class to test new format at Trofeo Princesa Sofia IBEROSTAR
This is in response to discussions that the winner should be decided on the final race, or even first across the line. The format that will be used in Palma is one of several on the table and will allow the class and World Sailing to better understand the consequences and processes of introducing such a system.
