NB Sailsports acquires Sydney Sailing Academy

NB Sailsports is pleased to announce that it has acquired the business Sydney Sailing Academy (SSA).

'SSA has built an great reputation in a short space of time and we felt that acquiring the business had enormous merit. It is our intention to continue to operate the SAA website and Facebook channels and to build out the product range via the SSA site. This aim is to provide customers with the broadest choice of Optimist sailing equipment, apparel and services via single site', McMillan said.

Rob Brewer of NB added 'we are increasing the variety of coaching we provide across the spectrum from Learn to sail to advanced racers and look forward to working with SSA’s Lizzi Rountree as part of this planned expansion'.

'We are pleased to see the Sydney Sailing Academy business amalgamate with NB and for the complete package from Learn to Sail to Elite Racing being involved under one umbrella for all of the junior Sailors to access. We would like to wish Rob and his team all the best and look forward to watching the success of all of the SSA and NB sailors over the coming years', commented SSA’s Directors David and Lianne Hawtin.

This acquisition completes a key strategic goal for NB which now provides services and products from learn to sail through to the highest Olympic level.
