NB Laser rebrands - opens new store in Queensland on 19th March 2011

NB Laser, which was acquired by Finnports Pty Ltd in July last year, is pleased to announce some exciting new developments.

The business is being relaunched under the umbrella of NB Sailsports. 'This new branding better represents our commitment to International Classes, building on our specialism with Lasers and Finns we are pleased to add Far East Optimists to our range, as well as the International 420 across Australia', said group Director Rob McMillan.

The website has also been relaunched with improved functionality. However the big news is that following appointment as the Laser Dealer for Queensland, that NB Sailsports will open its new store at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS) on 19th March 2011.

NB Sailsports formerly NB Laser currently based in Somersby, New South Wales, are the largest Laser dealer in Australia and maintain a full schedule of club and regatta support.

NB Sailsports will continue to provide the best customer service and looks forward to working with clubs in Queensland and sharing the passion for our adopted classes.

Come along and see our brand new shop on the edge of the launch ramp at RQYS. We will be putting on a sausage sizzle and drinks after RQYS club racing.

The shop will stock:
• Laser dinghies, parts and accessories
• Optimist dinghies, parts and accessories
• Finn dinghies, parts and accessories
• International 420 dinghies, parts and accessories.
• Associated spares and clothing

As well as providing service to RQYS members we are also looking to support clubs throughout Queensland.

Malcolm Page OAM, two-time Olympic Gold Medallist, became the Chief of Olympic Sailing for the USA on January 1 Malcolm Page OAM, two-time Olympic Gold Medallist (470) with Nathan Wilmot in 2008 and Mat Belcher in 2012, became the Chief of Olympic Sailing for the USA on January 1 this year. In and of itself it is hardly the freshest news, and well and truly yesterday’s fish wrapper. It was also a wise choice on behalf of Team USA, for he has succeeded in both the physical and commercial arms of our sport.
