Sail-World.com : Musto adds to its crew
Marine apparel brand Musto has sought to strengthen its regional representation by welcoming two new members to its team. Trudy McIntosh has joined Musto in the role of Victorian, South Australian and Tasmanian sales executive, taking over from Sea2Sky Agencies. With a background in production, design and patternmaking, Trudy brings with her a wealth of experience having spent the vast majority of her career in management roles across the apparel, footwear and retail sector. Trudy is joined by Steve Lafferty who has rejoined the Musto family after a few years in the wilderness. English-born Lafferty, who has been working in the technical outdoor clothing arena since the late 1980s, will be based in Auckland from where he will represent Musto as its New Zealand sales agent. It is something of a homecoming for Steve, who first represented Musto in New Zealand between 1996 and 2001. He spent the intervening years working in the New Zealand tourism industry. Both staff members will assist national sales manager David Ross and Western Australian sales agent Scott Olney in representing the Musto Sailing, Equestrian, Shooting and Lifestyle collections. The pair said they saw great potential for the brand in their respective markets and looked forward to working with retailers to help spread the Musto message. Managing director Duncan Curnow said he was thrilled to welcome agents of Trudy and Steve’s calibre to the Musto team and looked forward to them expanding the brand’s national presence.
