Michael Blackburn arrives in Athens
by Michael Blackburn on 1 Aug 2004
Hello,
I've returned to Athens today and tomorrow we head out to the Athens Olympic Village to get our accreditation and Australian Team gear.
If you want to see what some of the gear looks like I am scheduled to do an interview with channel 7's Sunrise program tomorrow which I guess would air Monday morning in Australia.
Due to Olympic rules I can't update my web page during the Games. However, I will endeavor to send out some of my normal update emails to those on my list.
Cheers,
Michael
• Sunrise is on from 6.00am-9.00am in Sydney and, I believe, other States, although there may be some time changes.
Michael Blackburn will represent Australia at the Olympics in the Laser class for a third time. He won a Bronze medal at Sydney 2000 and is officially rated as a medal contender in Athens, being currently ranked No. 2 in the World in the Laser class.
Sail-World wishes Michael and his fellow Australian Sailing team mates all the best in their various classes.
