The company which gives you excellent performance on the water is now delivering excellent performances online.

Mercury Marine Australia has launched its own YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/MercuryMarineAU

'We’re a company which has led the way for 70 years by innovating and using the best technology, so it’s no surprise we’ll use online technology to give our customers more of what they want,' said Anthony Brown, Mercury Marine’s Marketing Manager, Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific.

'Boat lovers can access a broad range of videos and there are plenty more to come.

'‘Whether you’re looking for detailed information about Mercury’s engine technology, advice on how to make your boat run better or just a bit of entertainment there are plenty of reasons to visit,' Anthony said.

'If you think the content will be all sales and technical talk, think again, there’s some great entertainment including some professionally produced short movies.

'A great example is the Bear Grylls ‘Arctic Adventure’ video where Bear and his team navigate their way from the east to the west coast of Canada via the Arctic Ocean. Powered by three 300hp supercharged Mercury Verados, they narrowly miss icebergs as they make their crossing at high speed.

'It is a video we expect to receive plenty of interest,' Anthony said.

Visitors are encouraged to leave comments or join a discussion about any of the videos. They can also help drive the content by suggesting other videos they’d like to see. Mercury’s YouTube channel is only the latest social media avenue being used by Mercury to connect with its customers and fans. It joins Mercury’s
