Maritimo NEW M50 makes a splash internationally

One of the most successful flybridge motor yachts that luxury cruiser manufacturer Maritimo has ever produced, the M48 cruising motoryacht, has undergone a complete makeover and the new larger and more refined vessel, the M50, has already proven an international hit.
Before the first vessel was completed there were two sales in the USA as a result of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and discussions are underway with other prospective purchasers.
The first M50 has now been produced and is currently on its’ way to the Miami Boat Show in the United States.
The original M48 has been one of the company’s most successful models with more than 100 sold internationally and satisfied owners now using their M48 flybridge motor yachts in places as far away as Italy, Spain, the UK, the USA and the UAE.
The new look M50 cruising motor yacht takes the tried and proven and enhances it even further.
Maritimo Sales and Marketing Manager Greg Haines said the revised M48 was a continuation of the company’s commitment to work on its core strengths and design differences in the cruising motor yacht market.
'Our enclosed flybridge designs, internal staircase, walk around decks and aft galley configuration are all what Maritimo has become famous for and we have included and improved all those elements in our new M50,' he said.
'The renowned fuel efficiency and performance levels have not been compromised and the hull design still makes for exceptional sea keeping, but we have lengthened the hull and changed the layouts to provide a full beam master suite, a double VIP/Guest cabin forward and starboard bunk cabin. ' In a run from the Maritimo corporate headquarters on Queensland’s Gold Coast in Australia to Sydney the M50 showed fuel efficiency savings of about 10 percent compared to the M48.
'The major change in the new M50 is the full beam master suite which is luxurious and spacious making the boat perfect for families who have several children or for cruising couples who want their own space and privacy while also being able to take up to two other couples with them at times.
'By having their own master suite with ensuite their privacy and comfort is assured.'
Mr Haines said the bi-fold doors between the saloon and the cockpit created as large open plan living space when opened up.
He said as with the first model the positioning of the galley aft was a big plus and feedback from owners was that this was one of the key features in making the M50 so livable.
'The wide walk around decks also feature heavily in our research as being something that really attracts people to this particular model.'
Mr Haines said Maritimo had enjoyed considerable success with its M45 cruising motor yacht launched at the Sydney International Boat Show and it expected the new M50 to continue to attract buyers here and internationally.
'When we first launched the M48 it was the smallest cruiser in our range to offer a three cabin layout which basically provided the same livability of the larger vessels in the fleet such as the M60, albeit on a slightly smaller scale,' he said.
'Now with the added benefit of the full beam master this boat really is a mini-super yacht and it will continue to sell very well I am sure.'
