The Two Man Keelboat (Star class), got off to a spectacular start in the 2012 Olympic Regatta on Weymouth Bay against the backdrop of the rural English countryside.
The irish crew of Peter O'Leary and David Burrows distinguished themselves in the first race by leading around the first mark, finishing second to the French crew of Xaiver Rohart and Pierre-Alexis Ponsot.
The second race was a near dead heat between Robert Scheidt and Bruno Prada (BRA) and Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson (GBR).
