La Pellegrina, the largest French superyacht at the 2012 Cannes Boat Show (50m) and the largest composite yacht (GlassKevlar) ever built in France, is testament to French savoir faire for design and technical excellence.

On the technical hand, La Pellegrina involves technologies of exception: the hull and superstructures are entirely built with a material inspired to the «kevlar®»qualities with carbon reinforcements. The La Pellegrina’s hull is the biggest piece ever moulded using the specific one piece infusion process.

This hull is clearly more shock resistant than a classic aluminium or polyester hull. The yacht is more rigid, more solid, lighter and then faster and more autonomous. The Couach shipyard prevails as the international leader in the implementation of this technology with over 30 years of experience.

This professional ships expertise is therefore
transposed to the Pleasure Yachts range which the conception responds to the restrictions imposed by the military sector about manufacturing process, liability, safety in the worst climatic conditions.

The V-shaped hull, a specificity of Couach, offers a perfect sea passage, and an unmatched sailing comfort. The excellent seaworthiness allows to maintain the boat’s speed without hitting waves or jolting the passengers. Less solicited, the engines gain significantly in consumption and acoustical comfort.

The Couach yachts are born to navigate fast, far and with all weather conditions. The mastery and the know-how of Couach in this domain make the yard one of the greatest composite building specialists in the world. To illustrate her qualities, La Pellegrina is provided of last generation engines (2 x 5,300 hp) and mobilizes a record weight of only 296 tonnes for a unit of such a big size.

Launched at full speed, she can reach the record speed of 30kts, unlike any seen on a boat of this size. At a cruising speed of 25kts, La Pellegrina behaves with the same agility of a 20-metre yacht, even on rough seas.

On the environmental hand, quite naturally, the La Pellegrina’s conception allows an exemplary energetic consumption. Thanks to her lightness and to her singular hull design, the yacht navigates with excellent conditions showing a minimal record consumption of 180 L/h at 12kts.

This economic cruising speed enables a complete transatlantic autonomy. Moreover, the yacht integrates the most performing equipments for the waste water treatment. This way, she can navigate in protected sailing zones very strict towards discharges.

Speaking about comfort, the living space touches the best of the luxe. Featured by the designer Jean-Pierre Fantini and styled by Danièle Chopard, two emblematic figures of the yachting world for 20 years, the yacht is a real ode to perfection.

La Pellegrina rises up to 4 different levels and is 12-metre high. With her 500 square-metres habitable, the yacht can accommodate 12 guests distributed in six extremely luxurious cabins. The Owner cabin on the top deck offers a panoramic view and disposes of a private terrace deck, a white marble bathroom fitted with an Hammam and a vast dressing room.

The yacht presents a huge lounge-dining room of 75m2 with full height glazed openings offering a breathtaking sea view. The lounge floor is leather-covered, the walls are made of sycamore wood and white lacquers, coated with chrome and polished stainless frames.

Two kitchens (one cold and one hot), a bar with dashboard, or also a 6 person Jacuzzi on the top deck and various fitness apparatus complete the onboard equipment. It’s a succession of noble materials: selection of Italian marbles, leather floors, lacquers, chrome and refined woodwork.

The embarked technology pilots the yacht onboard life, specially with a centralized Entertainment system comprising one video server of 1,000 films, musical library, TV and satellite communications, the guests access to the different functions using digital tablets that allows also to pilot all the yacht’s homeautomation features (Air conditioning, window shadings, luminaries).

La Pellegrina is consistent with the brand image of Couach: modern, performing, precise, comfortable and assuming her exception and exemplary ambition. The new 2012-2013 range includes 1300 Hornet, 2300 Fly, 2300 Open, 2600 Fly, 2600 Open, 3700 Fly, 4500 Fly, and the 5000 Fly of which one model is baptised La Pellegrina.
