The La Charente Maritime Bahia Transat 6.50 is currently underway and with more skippers reaching the finish line, we bring you updates regarding Pierre Cizeau, Donatien Carme, and Guillaume Le Brec.

Message from Pen Ar Clos II : 'We have diverted toward the 746 of whom the forestay has broke. He is about to set sails again after having checked his mast that seems to be ok. He asked us to comfort his wife if needed, she might already be in Bahia, and tell her that everything is fine but their rendezvous is postponed: 'il l'embrasse'.' (01.11.11 - 05:30 – Pierre Cizeau)

Donatien Carme (606 - Merci les amis) has a beacon's failure. Pen Ar Clos II has contacted him by VHF: 'live, 16 miles from us, the 606 was at 16h45 by 6°28S - 33°10W. Route to 210. All is fine aboard 'Merci les amis'.'

Guillaume Le Brec (667 - Occamat / ATD) - whose beacon has not worked in two days - is approaching the Bay of All Saints ahead of Jorg Riechers (753 - Mare.de). The two boats are neck and neck. The fifth place of the second leg is not yet awarded. Sprint to come...
