Knight Frank 18ft skiff, who recently launched a new boat, has introduced some of the latest products from Harken onboard.

Harken has released two new products in recent months that further expands on their top quality range of sailing hardware. These additions include a double block option to their ‘T2’ soft-attach block range and the addition of a lead ring range.

Fosters Ship Chandlery has both of these products in store now as well as the full range of Harken hardware and technical clothing at their new store at 158 Beaumont Street, Westhaven.

Their friendly and knowledgeable staff will be able to help you find the best product for your requirements.

‘T2’ Soft-attach Double:

Harken has added a double block to their ‘T2’ range of soft attach blocks, with 18mm, 29mm, 40mm & 57mm sheave options.

The addition of the double block to the Harken soft attach block range adds to the capability and usefulness of Harken’s premium light weight small boat block. The blocks come with a supplied lashing line and instruction pamphlet for ease of use and peace of mind.

Knight Frank 18ft skiff team has used the light weight ‘T2’ block in every system onboard, with in excess of 70 single and double ‘T2’ blocks used. The ‘T2’ double has been used in critical systems including the jib sheet and mainsail Cunningham and kicker which experience consistent adjustment throughout a race.

‘T2’ blocks are a must have for the weight conscious dinghy or keeler!

Harken Lead Rings:

Harken has introduced a Lead Ring range to their product line with 8mm, 10mm, 14mm, 20mm & 24mm lead ring inner diameter options available.

Harken Lead Rings are simple, weight-saving devices used to run line for jib in-haulers, barberhaulers, lazy jacks, cascading backstays and other applications requiring minimal fine-tune adjustments. The rings are Hard Lube-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum for a smooth, slippery surface with minimal wear and with no moving parts.

Harken lead rings are a fantastic alternative component to blocks where there is minimal fine-tune required or as a guide to direct a line, reduce wear or keep a system tidy.

Knight Frank 18ft skiff team has used Harken Lead Rings extensively onboard as line control guides for various take-up systems including jib sheet, jib-cunningham, mainsail kicker, mainsail cunningham and trapeze bungy system. The biggest benefit to Knight Frank is that not only are Harken Lead Rings hard wearing, light weight and tough, but with no moving parts they are incredibly reliable and require minimal upkeep.

Be sure to check out the full Harken range at Fosters Ship Chandlery at their new store at 158 Beaumont Street, Auckland!
