Quantum Key West Race Week, sponsored by Quantum Sails, was held from 15th to 20th January 2012 in Florida, USA. Sebago is celebrating the start of 2012 as the official footwear sponsor for the event. One of the most prominent regattas in the world, the US based event annually attracts the world’s top racers.
The Quantum Sailing Team are continuing their record success from last year into the first event of the new race season, coming first or second in all 10 races and defeating runner-up Powerplay by 18 ½ points. A particularly competitive entry this year, 2012 marks the 25th anniversary of the event.
Top honours at Quantum Key West Race highlights the continuing glory for the team from the previous year, which included a third world title.
As well as being official footwear sponsors for the whole event, Sebago, has continued their commitment to supporting the Quantum Sailing Team. The crew wear Sebago clothing both afloat and ashore, as well as, the brand’s leading marine footwear.
For 2012, the team are equipped with the Plunge shoe, designed in conjunction with their professional expertise. This style has been updated for the UK market by the Racer style within the new TriWater collection. The TriWater designs meet the needs of even the most experienced of sailors through its technical features including quick-drying and protective materials, footbed with drainage and shock absorption. Hotly tipped as being ‘the toughest shoes on the water’ this new TriWater range is made with high-performance and technically advanced materials to offer great functionality, durability and comfort.
