It's been another good day for Australians in the 470 class as they're leading both the men's and the women's fleet.
Tom King and Mark Turnbull came 2nd in race 9 and only 12th in race 10 but they can drop that one.
So the 2000 World Champions now have a 5 point advantage over top world ranked US Paul Foerster and Bob Merrick who snatched their third victory today in heat 10.
Atlanta Gold medallists, Ukraine's Braslavets and Matviyenko, have made an impressive come back to 3rd place today due to the second discard.
The Ukrainians had gone down earlier in the regatta after suffering an OCS and a DSQ.
They're back in the top 3 and can still reach gold.
Needless to say that it will be a huge day Wednesday for the 470 class as the medal competition remains open for both men and women with Australians leading in both class.
RACE 10: 1. USA, 2. GRE, 3. FIN, 4. ESP, 5. BLR, 6. UKR, 7. GBR, 8. ISR, 9. SUI, 10. SLO.
PROGRESSIVE RESULTS AFTER 10 RACES AND 2 DISCARDS: 1. AUS 36 PTS, 2. USA 41 PTS, 3. UKR 45 PTS, 4. ARG 47 PTS, 5. GBR 52 PTS, 6. POR 52 PTS, 7. ESP 64 PTS, 8. RUS 66 PTS.
