Jeanneau updates with two new sailing boat models

by Des Ryan on 9 Apr 2013
Sun Odyssey 469 .. .
After three years of hard work and much innovation, Jeanneau is enlarging its product offer and offering two new sailing boat models in the coming year. The two new major new models are both in the Sun Odyssey range: the Sun Odyssey 469 and the Sun Odyssey 41 DS.

And it's not only new models - they are also unveiling stylish new interiors with their mission to produce: 'seaworthy boats, to sail with confidence and with pleasure.'

Since its inception, Jeanneau has heavily invested in technology and in its industrial sites in the Vendee region of France. These include the shipyards in Les Herbiers, one of the largest production facilities in Europe, producing boats of over 50 feet, and the ultra-modern production facility in Cholet.

Sun Odyssey 469:

The newest addition to the Sun Odyssey line, the Sun Odyssey 469, benefits from the latest innovations and inherits the finest traits of this iconic line. Nominated by the international press for the prestigious «European Yacht of the Year», the Sun Odyssey 469 is already attracting attention.

From the design cabinet of Philippe Briand, clean lines and an elongated hull with moderate freeboard give the Sun Odyssey 469 an great lines to complement her good performance.

Bathed in light, the interior affords the volume and comfort typically found on a 50-foot sailing boat. Aboard the Sun Odyssey 469, you will find many principal attributes of her inspiration and 'big sister' model, the 509.

Guiding concepts in the drafting of the Sun Odyssey 469 were ergonomic design, personalisation, interior volume and attention to detail.

The perfect blend of performance, comfort and ease of handling, the Sun Odyssey 469 is both responsive and stable.

Suggested price is around 200,000 Euro.

The boat will be exhibited at the following boat shows : Cannes, La Rochelle, Friedrichshafen, Genoa, Istanbul, Barcelona, Paris, Dusseldorf
