J24 NSW State Championship at Gosford - Day 1

'J24 Day 1 NSW Championship - Results'    J24 Australia

Day 1 of the J24 NSW State Championship 2010, Saturday second and Sunday October 3rd 2010 at the Gosford Sailing Club, on behalf of the NSW J24 Association.

Great day on the water for Day 1 of the NSW State Championship, with a fleet of 27 in attandance - five boats from VIC and two from SA.

It was a variable day with some rain, a generally light with breeze from 3 – 12 knots.

Four races were held in testing conditions.

On Monday October 4th the inaugural J24 Legends Regatta will be held.

The Association has also taken the opportunity to recognize the many J24 Legends who have competed in J24 yachts over the past 30 years and have invited past National and State Champions to helm a J24 yacht in two races to be conducted on Monday October 4th. Those accepting the invitation include former Olympians and Legends who have gone on to become World and National Champions in both the J24 and other yachting classes.
