At the awards ceremony to emphasize the importance of the crews, the winning teams had their crew name announced and each crew would in turn introduce their respective skippers. Keeping with that tradition, Alexa Schuler sailing with Jim Bowers took the 2012 Nationals title.
In second place for three years in a row was Team Vineyard Vines with Molly Baxter crewing with John Baxter. In third was Abby Cook sailing with Simon Strauss and fourth was Felicty Ryan with Sunfish World Champion Paul-Jon Patin. Dorsey Roseberry and Ben Cesare won the IC Wharf Rat Trophy for the best cumulative performance at this season’s IC events with a minimum of three regattas sailed.
