Increased draft capability at New Zealand Yachts slipway

New Zealand yachts has increased their haul and lauch capability by increasing the draft limit up to 4.5 meters and 800 tonnes.

The traditonal slip is one of the safest methods to haul yachts due to no risk of dropping yachts, no risk of crushing or strap damage, and the vessel is fully supported along its keel to avoid flexing stresses on the yacht.
Seen here the 34 meter SY Mystery at 4.4 meters is fully supported by the 800 tonne cradle and this specific cradle is designed for extreme point loading required by many large modern sail yachts.
