Now it’s your chance to come on board for 2011 1 ranked sailor in the World, Sara Winther's journey to GOLD at RIO 2016, in the Womens Singlehanded class.


Sara Winther: 'A winner never quits and a quitter never wins.'

(Usually when I hear clichés like this my brain gets numb and I start to tune out. If this is your inclination also, then stop yourself! This one’s actually meaningful.

Why? Watching Sara hang in there and refuse to quit, I’ve seen her open up opportunities for herself that otherwise wouldn’t be there. These opportunities have only come to her because she has hung in there. Very simply, success is much more a product of determination and perseverance. Success eventually comes to those with stick-to-itiveness.

It comes as a result of the attitude like Sara’s to win gold in Rio 2016 'no matter how long it takes and no matter what it takes I will hang in there until I get what I want'.

Now it’s your chance to come on board for the journey to GOLD at RIO 2016

She is the current NZ Open and Women’s National Laser Radial Champion, represented NZ at the 2012 Olympics and banking on this experience she is determined to win gold in 2016.

The first steps for the 2011 World Number One, is to secure New Zealand a spot at the games. She will do this by finishing in the top 75% of the nations at the 2014 International Sailing Federations World Championships in Santander in 2014.
