Harken Women's Match Race 2011 images from day 1. Photographer Andrea Francolini captured the action out on the water. Round robin one and one flight of round robin two were completed in a westerly breeze of 5-10 knots on Sydney Harbour.

The island which is home to the M32 boat building company, Aston Harald Composite, will offer a great sailing arena just outside the harbor of the Cape Crow Yacht Club (the host club).

Harry Price (AUS) and his Down Under Racing team of young guns, Ben Robinson and Murray Jones, won Chicago Grand Slam Harry Price (AUS) and his Down Under Racing team of young guns, Ben Robinson and Murray Jones, won the Chicago Grand Slam at Chicago Yacht Club. Price swept both the Semi-Finals against Peter Holz and the Finals against local favorite, Steve Lowery, with an impressive string of six consecutive victories.

This week Chicago Yacht Club will welcome eight teams from five different countries to compete in the Chicago Grand Slam This week Chicago Yacht Club will welcome eight teams from five different countries to compete in the Chicago Grand Slam, the second stop on the three-event US Grade 2 Grand Slam Series. The circuit began last weekend in Long Island, NY at the Oakcliff International and the US Grand Slam Champion will be crowned next weekend at Bayview Yacht Club's Detroit Cup.

The talented young Swede and his crew muscled their way through the three day regatta on Poland’s Bay of Gdansk with his only loss coming at the hands of Eric Monnin.

Energa Sopot Match Race- Rast ready for uphill battle with specialists
Reigning Melges 24 World Champion Chris Rast from Switzerland is competing at his second M32 regatta of the year. One of those top guys will be the young Sam Gilmour, another 49er sailor but who also has the benefit of a strong match racing background. The young sailor from Perth, Western Australia, put in a strong performance at the $1 million World Championship Finals in Sweden earlier this month.

50th Governor's Cup International Junior Match Racing continues
The winds were light when racing started at noon. The temperature was in the high 80’s for most of the day. Racing resumed on another beautiful day in Southern California. The twelve teams were towed out to the race course by the Race Committee boat with PRO (Principal Race Officer) Don Becker and his support team aboard.
