The Gill Tri-Club Regatta, to be sailed on 12 and 13 March 2011 is organised by Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.

Open to all Youth Sailors (aged 18 years old and under) from the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, Aberdeen Boat Club and Hebe Haven Yacht Club, the bi-annual Gill Tri-Club Regatta sponsored by Storm Force Marine, will be held in the waters of Port Shelter, Sai Kung, this weekend.

The regatta will comprise three fleets; Optimist, Laser 4.7 and Laser Pico and prizes for first place in each division will be awarded as well as for first, second and third Overall Club. There will be a maximum of three races for each class each day with the warning signal for the first races of Saturday and Sunday sounding at 1055hrs.

With a choice of setting windward/leeward or trapezoid courses, the Race Officer will announce the racing venue during the Saturday and Sunday morning briefings. Race Officer for Saturday is Fiona Gregor and Charlie Manzoni steps into the role on Sunday.

The three clubs take it in turn to organise the tri-club dinghy regattas with the aim of providing more inter-club competition and also further bringing the dinghy sailing community together.
