'Despite rigorous quality control procedures, a small number of leaks on these filters have been reported,' says the company in a statement. 'The resulting investigations have identified the root cause of the problem to be a tolerance issue on a rubber seal.
'Customer safety is our absolute priority. Therefore, as a precautionary measure we have taken the decision to initiate a product recall and to deliver FOC the correct seal, whether or not the product is still under warranty.'

All customers in possession of the above mentioned fuel filters should contact their supplier or write directly to Osculati at firstname.lastname@example.org, indicating the address for free delivery of the seal replacement.
