Frontrunners out of HSBC Premier Coastal Classic

Living Doll and Ran Tan II - two of the frontrunning contenders - have retired from the HSBC Premier Coastal Classic. 18 boats have retired since starting, including Exodus, Cool Change, Sundreamer and Line 7 Marine.

An injured crew member has been lifted from the boat Eleanor with possible broken ribs and moderate head injuries. Coastguard has taken the person to Browns Bay and they are now aboard an ambulance.

In the meantime, Manga II is heating up pies for lunch. Assasin reports winds of 30 knots and all going well except for losing a couple of cupboard doors.

Slipstream was at Tiri at 12.30, with one reef in in 25-30 knots of breez, with waves 1m, with odd 2m. They are sailing in good company.

185 boats are still racing, and Need for Speed, owned by Jon Bilger, was first to call in at Flat Rock.
