In partnership with SailTV, Sail-World will be offering live coverage of the Louis Vuitton Trophy.
To access the live coverage just click on the LV Trophy Live button just below the top of site banner on www.sail-world.com or click here to view the action from the Semi-Finals and Finals.
Don't worry if you miss the racing because you are out of the New Zealand time zone. Full replays are available, also on Sail-World.
There is a new browser version of Virtual Eye available http://live.virtualeye.tv/ this will take a medium download but gives you access to the Virtual Eye graphics to watch either live, or review the racing.
You have the ability to fly around the boats in your own virtual helicopter by clicking your left mouse button and holding it down. This will allow you to move to almost any viewing angle - choose the one that best shows the gap between the yachts, the tracks up the beat or run, along the startline or whatever. Or, click on the camera icon at the bottom left hand corner of the screen and you will be given a choice of set camera angles and the system will do the rest. Or use the numeric keys on your keyboard (1-9) to see the preset angles.
It's a great tool/toy - hours of fun.

Update: 21 March 2010:
1430hrs: Emirates Team NZ have won their second race in the finals which was shortened originally from a best of seven, to a best of five and then best of three series - and take the Louis Vuitton Trophy for the second time in the events - Auckland in the Pacific Series, finished second in Nice and won again in Auckland.
1145: The Race Committee have advised that the first race will get away with the warning signal due at noon, local time. The series is now best of three, so Emirates is on Match Point.
0810 - There can be no race start after 1530 today, due to event commitments for dock-in ceremonies and prizegiving. So the final is shaping up to be a 'first to two points' series (more commonly thought of as best of three). Racing is delayed until 1130hrs (local time) at least.
0805 - The forecast from Roger 'Clouds' Badham is for similar conditions to yesterday, BUT, the wind should be a couple of knots lighter. By afternoon, he's looking for the breeze to be in the 8-11 knot range.
0800 - For the last day of the Finals in what is supposed to be a best of five regatta, the wind is forecast to be light and variable this morning, building throughout the day. So there's a postponement at the dock - no racing before 1130 on Sunday morning (2230 GMT).
The live TV coverage featured on Sail-World will consist of a mix of Virtual Eye graphics and video from a range of cameras and positions. To date the coverage has been outstanding television with a mix of fixed land base cameras, on the water, on the boat and Virtual Eye.
Sail-World's NZ Editor, Richard Gladwell, is covering the regatta live and will be posting during the final three days.
