New Zealand based match racing team Waka Racing report from Germany:

The first World Match Race Tour event of the year is upon us, we find ourselves in Langenargen, Germany. We are looking forward to it after a good warm up event in Hong Kong last week.

The team is super excited to get out on the water and improve on last years result. This is going to be a big year and the team is really committed to the goal of winning the Alpari World Match Racing Tour!

We are very proud to have Events clothing/Line 7 as our clothing partner. This will be Events/Line7's fifth year of partnership with Waka racing. They have created an amazing new design for 2013 and we can't wait to show of the new racing gear.

Waka racing will also be supported by fellow long term partner Tax Management New Zealand, this is their fifth year of partnership. Ian Kuperus from TMNZ has done a great job helping the team reach their goals. KZ Race Furlers are back on board with the team and we are very proud to have them. Waka Racing have started a new partnership with China Spirit which is great news for both parties and we are looking forward to the opportunities to come.

We are defending our title at the first event in Germany, the team is keen to get off to a great start. Germany is always a tough event as the wind is known for being very fickle.
