Emirates Team New Zealand today announced their new TP52 at a media function in Auckland.

The new yacht as announced previously will be built by Cookson Boats on Auckland's North shore, and has been under construction for two weeks.

Project manager for the new boat to be called Emirates Team New Zealand will be bowman Richard Meacham.

The spars will be built by Southern Spars and the sails by North Sails New Zealand. Both organisations have their manufacturing plants within a few hundred metres of Team New Zealand's Auckland base at the Viaduct Basin.
