Demonstration of New Broadband Radar

CANANZ MEMBERS MEETING; 7:30pm, Monday 8 June at Richmond Yacht Club, Westhaven.

Greg Stoz has developed in Auckland a new marine radar system that uses low power and variable frequency for ranging, rather than the traditional high power pulses from magnetron transmitters. It gives better resolution
images, and instant power-up, making it excellent for recreational boating. He will tell us about this new technology and is bringing a unit to demonstrate.

Greg developed the technology working for Navman in Auckland, now bought out by Simrad who are marketing these radars under their NorthStar and Lowrance brands.

Everyone welcome to this meeting.
