Day Three for the Stars in Hamilton

After seven races and three days of sailing and with one race scheduled for the last day, Friday, John MacCausland and crew Guy Avellon have taken first place overall away from Arthur Anosov and his crew David Ceasar.

Leading the Grand Master fleet is Larry Whipple and crew Phil Trinter and is 13th overall . Jack Rickard and crew Sam Eadie lead the two boat Exalted Grand Master fleet and are 21st overall. Local Star sailor Frances Fougere is in first place of the Classic fleet and 29th overall. Top Canadian after seven races is Brian Cramer with his crew Cam Lymburner in ninth place.
Thursday saw similar conditions to the two previous days and good competitive racing without major obstructions on the harbour with only one de-masting and one boat running aground. Friday's weather promises cooler temperatures and rain with winds from the north west to 20kph, gusting to 40kph in the afternoon by which time the fleet should be on shore, on trailers and ready for the trip home.
