Canadian Sailing Team 2012 members announced

The Canadian Yachting Association is pleased to announce the members of the 2012 Canadian Sailing Team.

The team was established based on the 2011-12 Sport Canada carding criteria. The team structure includes a Podium Team, Senior Development Team, and a Development Team. The CST Podium team is established by elite level performance criteria and aligns with the Own the Podium program. Members of the CST Senior Development team are determined by the CYA high performance staff based on ongoing international performances. The CST Development team includes both carded and non-carded sailors (tbd) and is also determined by ongoing international results.

We are pleased to introduce the members of the 2012 Canadian Sailing Team on our new website www.canadiansailingteam.ca. This new site is dedicated to enhancing and profiling the success of our elite and high performance sailors leading up to London 2012 and beyond!

Stay tuned in just a few short months when CYA will be announcing the members of the 2012 Canadian Olympic Team!

We offer early congratulations to Richard Clarke/Tyler Bjorn (Star), David Wright (Laser), and Danielle Dube (Radial) who have already met the Olympic standard and will be nominated to the 2012 Canadian Olympic Team.
