Business as usual for Bonezzi at Contenders

by Media/Gerald New on 13 Jan 2006
Andrea Bonezzi by S Destremau Contender
With six races completed, the first discard is taken and by reversing the previous days results and adding another win, Andrea Bonezzi of Italy consolidates his lead in the Ronstan Contender World Championship at Fremantle SC, Western Australia.

The leading group maintained their superiority. Bonezzi won from Matt Hosie (AUS) with title-chasing Marcus Hamilton (AUS) in third place. This keeps these three at the top of the table in the order; Bonezzi, Hamilton, Hosie.

Briton´s Simon Mussell took fourth in race six and is now tied for fourth place overall with the Australian Tim Hill.

If two races are completed Friday the series will be back on schedule for a final ninth race Saturday. If eight or more races are sailed a second discard is taken.
