18 year old Peter Burling (Tauranga) dished out a couple of sailing lessons to Emirates Team New Zealand skipper, Dean Barker on the third day of the Club Marine NZ Keelboat Championships sailed on the Waitemata harbour today.

The young 470 Olympic representative, and double world 420 champion, won both races sailed today in fresher easterly winds, with Barker finishing with two fourth on his scorecard. The America's Cup skipper holds onto the lead in the regatta by just one point from Burling, who made a charge through the points table.

Also in serious contention for the title is Andrew Wills, a former Etchells World Champion who turned in a 3,6 scorecard today to lie in third overall just one point behind Burling.

The race logs from www.rayc.org.nz are as follows:

Saturday 15 November - Silver and Gold Fleet Finals

0950: Race 2 for the Silver Fleet is underway. Up to 3 races for the Silver fleet this morning, and up to 3 for the Gold Fleet are intended for this afternoon.

1030: Race 2 finished at 0940 with 1st Place to Dawson, 2nd Robertson & 3rd going to Scott.

1140: Race 3 finished at 1034 with 1st place going again to Dawson, 2nd Robertson & 3rd Brodie.

1215: Race 4 finished at 1136 with Dawson complete a clean sweep for the day, Scott 2nd and 3rd Brodie.

Gold Fleet Racing:

1520: The third race on the water for the Silver fleet saw some wipeouts, with gusts of 18 knots. Due to some damage, the first race for the Gold Fleets saw the flag flying to signal no spinnakers. This was due to damage.

Peter Burling took the gun for the first race, Josh Junior in second, and Andrew Wills in 3rd. A boat swap will take place, and Race 2 will get underway with spinnakers allowed very shortly.
