British Wave Sailing Association announce 2014 Tour dates

by Nigel ‘Nacho’ Treacy on 10 Jan 2014
BWA UK Wave Tour 2014 British Wave Sailing Association
The British Wave Sailing Association UK Wave Tour 2014 kicks off with the challenging back-to-back Wales/Ireland event. A weekend of competition and partying at Rhosneigr followed by the now famous road trip to the West coast of Ireland for a week of Kerry waves and Guinness.

Then after a summer break we head North for seven days of amazing Scottish hospitality at the Tiree Wave Classic. The tour then heads deepest south two weeks later for the final event in Cornwall where the leaders will fight out the coveted Championship titles.

New for 2014:

Wales: Event is extended by a day for Pro fleets with a Thursday start.

Scotland: Due to a close PWA event we have the option to stagger the event for the pro fleets (TBC).

Cornwall: We are introducing a ‘forecast day’ for Cornwall (pros only) allowing the organisers the option of adding a day either side for pro competitors.

The Ams dates for Tiree are announced with Pro dates to be confirmed once PWA dates are in place.

As always, the dates are provisional but at present there is no reason to change for Ams.

Wales:
Pro:s 8 - 11 May
Ams: 10 - 11 May

Ireland:
12 – 16 May

Scotland:
Ams: 11-17 Oct
Pros: To be announced. Awaiting final PWA dates.

England:
31 Oct – 2 Nov

We are also including the facility to extend an additional ‘Pro Forecast Day’ of either 30 Oct or 3 Nov for Pros only.

This day will be added at the discretion of the organisers.
