But John Brim’s Rimette didn’t seem to mind. He won the first two races, and added a nine, for 11 points and a healthy advantage over Will Welles’ Scamp in second (23 points)

In November 2016, World Sailing approved the International Viper 640 Class’s application to become a recognized World Sailing class. The International Viper 640 Class Association, at the same time, adopted an international constitution and signed a contract with World Sailing confirming the Class’s international status.

After being named US Sailing’s 2016 National Coach of the Year, Mike earned his first J/24 Midwinters , helming Tarheel. Just a few days after being named US Sailing’s 2016 National Coach of the Year, Mike Ingham earned his first J/24 Midwinter Championship, helming Tarheel. The Rochester, NY-based skipper posted a line of one, three, (sixteen), one, two, two, nine, five for 23 points over eight races at Eau Gallie Yacht Club in Indian Harbour Beach, FL in the 31-boat fleet.
