by Matthew Lindblad on 24 Mar 2013
SW
Boston Dinghy Club Challenge Cup 2013. 12 races were run for all divisions in fireflies and FJ in a blustery NW breeze. There were many capsizes in the gusts around 30 knots but competitors handled the cold conditions very well.

Harvard's Mike O'Connor and undergrads Nick Gordan, Becka Frankel, Ansel Duff, and Colin Santangelo '11 ran the FJ course while MIT's Matt Lindblad and MIT undergrads Bruno Faviero(scoring), David Larson(finish), Sarah Mountjoy(finish), and Sam Albright ran the Firefly and Tech course. Also thanks to Aiden Doherty and MIT Sailing Master Fran Charles, dockmaster Wally Corwin. Judges John Pratt, Tripp Allen, Greg Kiely, Jeff and Lianne Dusek heard several redress, protests, and breakdowns.

Five races to be held on Sunday.
