Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the safe staging of raft races for Australia Day on Lake Talbot in Narrandera on Saturday.
RMS Maritime Principal Manager South Craig Whitmore said boaters should keep clear of all navigable waters on Lake Talbot from 1pm to 3.30pm.
'This area will be used exclusively for the safe staging of a raft races organised by Narrandera Shire Council,' Mr Whitmore said.
'For safety reasons, skippers should avoid this area as it will be restricted for the event and patrolled by club and control vessels,' he said.
Mr Whitmore said vessels would not be permitted to enter the exclusive use area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.
