Boaters alerted to exclusive use water ski races on Budgewoi Lake

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the safe staging of water ski races on Budgewoi Lake south of Bluff Point on Saturday and Sunday.
RMS Maritime Principal Manager Sydney Trevor Williams said boaters should keep clear of the south east corner of Budgewoi Lake from 9am-5pm on both days.
'This area will be used exclusively for the safe staging of a water ski races organised by National Water Ski Racing Association Region V,' Mr. Williams said.
'The area will be marked by buoys and monitored by control vessels.
'For safety reasons, skippers should avoid this area as it will be closed for the event,' Mr. Williams said.
Mr. Williams said vessels would not be permitted to enter the exclusive use area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.
