Boaters alerted to exclusive use water ski event at Budgewoi Lake

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the safe staging of a water ski event at Budgewoi Lake this weekend.
RMS Maritime Principal Manager North Coast Sonia McKay said boaters should keep clear of the south east corner of Budgewoi Lake south of Buff Point from 9am to 5pm on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March.
'This area will be used exclusively for the safe staging of a water ski event organised by the National Water Ski Racing Association Region V Australia Inc,' Ms McKay said.
'The area boundaries will be patrolled by control vessels.
'For safety reasons, skippers should avoid this area as it will be restricted for the event,' she said.
Ms McKay said vessels would not be permitted to enter the exclusive use area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.
