Layday on the Island was the perfect opportunity for three Bladerider sailors to get up and foiling to entertain the crowds at Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. Ben Rankin, Brent Pearson and Dave Barnes are out and about demonstrating the fun you can have on a Bladerider Moth.

'We’ve got a few mini races lined up over the next few days just off the club, which should provide some entertainment for all after they’ve come back from racing' says dual International Moth World Champion Rohan Veal. 'We’ll have short course racing right in front of the yacht club over the next two days, two boats of which are our new and affordable carbon fibre RX model, weighing in fully rigged at around 40kg.'

Sandy Cavill of Brisbane is here sailing a Farr 40 (and also sails an International Contender) took the opportunity to have his first go on a Bladerider earlier today. 'It was great. I can imagine the more you sail it, the more fun it is!'.

Rohan will be taking anyone interested in buying a Bladerider out for a test sail during the regatta. So if you’re up for a challenge, be sure to track him down whilst he’s here.
