North South Yachting is delighted to announce two new additions to the Bavaria Cruiser range: the Cruiser 36 and Cruiser 40. These new models are the latest offerings from the Farr Yacht Design and BMW Designworks USA collaboration.

With the Cruiser 32, 45 and 55 models already well established, the 36 and 40 will fit into the small to mid-sized cruising yacht sector. Continuing the design concepts of optimal social space both inside and out, a large cockpit with the unique transom platform offering an easy transition from yacht to water and simple yet performance oriented sailing set-up, the new models continue to demonstrate the high-tech German yard's commitment to building the most technologically advanced production cruising yachts in the world.

Cruiser 40

The new 40 has a similar layout to her predecessor with three large double cabins, large head and shower off the saloon and a private head and shower in the forward cabin. The saloon and social space benefits from an increase in freeboard and a beam carried further aft. The cabins are spacious with plenty of ventilation and large beds.

Cruiser 36

The Cruiser 36 comes as a two or three cabin layout. The two cabin version features a full forward-facing chart table and large aft head with separated shower. The three cabin version has a reverse chart-table with the head and shower set off the saloon with two equal aft cabins. Ventilation is a priority with nine opening hatches and seven opening port lights.

On both models the Farr Yacht Design and BMW DesignworksUSA influence is clear from the outset with beautiful hull shapes and a modern sail plan. Deep keel as standard and a long, slender rudder coupled with the large mainsail and non-overlapping jib means performance will be optimised whether you're a cruising sailor or part of the Bavaria race-a-cruiser community.

The new models all continue to benefit from real wood finishes and feature flush-mounted hatches, integrated sun and fly screens, clear and uncluttered decks and the unique folding transom that offers an aft deck more akin to a power boat when deployed and a broad helmsman seat when retracted. Additional options include new high-quality standard upholstery and ten additional upholstery selections, alternate wood colour finishes, in-mast furling with high-tech sail upgrades, electronics, engine upgrades and value packages.

With the first Cruiser 40 already sold for Australian delivery, the demand for these models is expected to be high. Demonstrator deals will be available for the first models sold in each territory of the NSY national network.

Sail away prices start from $235,000 for the Cruiser 36 and $299,946 for the Cruiser 40.
